Good industrial relations in Germany

In an international comparison, industrial relations are very good in Germany and have even improved during the last 30 years. Responsible for the decline in strikes is the legal regulations of labour conflicts, which are designed to prevent strikes, but also economic reasons and the decline in the strength of the unions.
