Business climate only improves in civil engineering

In eastern Germany the dissatisfaction with business conditions also increased: The considerably more unfavourable judgements of firms in building construction was not offset by renewed improvements in civil engineering. Equipment was used at a 71% pace, similar to June and higher than the 67% rate twelve months ago. In both parts of Germany pessimism regarding the business expectations increased again slightly. Prices are expected to increase somewhat, and staff reductions will continue, particularly in western Germany.
