In east Germany the current situation was assessed more negatively than in June amidst weak demand and involuntary reduction of stocks. The firms see no reason to abandon their restrictive ordering policy. Price increases will slow in the coming months here, but west German firms - especially in the consumer goods area - expect them to rise.
