Very favourable business situation continues

The business climate in the east German manufacturing industry remains favourable. The current business situation has trended upwards, reaching the highest level in the present upturn. Confidence in the business outlook has weakened, however. Positive impulses are still expected from exports, especially for capital goods producers, but there were only isolated reports of plans to expand production.
