Manufacturing (east):
Temporary stop in business climate downturn

In eastern Germany the business climate in manufacturing brightened somewhat. This was primarily the result of declining pessimism in the business expectations of capital goods manufacturers. Whereas production plans in western Germany are even more contractive, the number of reports of production cuts has again declined in eastern Germany. In both areas, firms expect producer prices to remain largely stable in the coming months.
