Ifo Business Survey for November 2001

The downward trend in the business climate in German trade and industry was halted in November. In west Germany, where the business climate balance was minus 25.9%, the improvement was only marginal, however. In east Germany the climate improved more noticeably. It is still too early to interpret this as a fundamental turnaround in the economy, however.
