Renewed pressure on prices

The deterioration in the business climate in construction in West Germany results from a clearly more negative judgement of the current business situation, especially as regards building construction. With the level of construction output unchanged (seasonally and weather adjusted), the equipment utilisation rate (62%) remained below the previous-year level. Companies in west Germany expected lower prices, too.
