Construction (east):
Business climate again worsens

In east Germany the business situation cooled in both building construction and in civil engineering. Here, too, contractors reported an expansion of order reserves (2.0 months) and a decline in equipment utilisation (64%). In west Germany, firms expect construction prices to remain stable but in east Germany further weakening is expected. More lay-offs are likely in both survey areas.
