Public Finance in the Era of the Covid-19 Crisis – International Institute of Public Finance Annual Congress
As part of the 77th Annual Congress of the International Institute of Public Finance (IIPF), over 300 international public finance economists – including economists from the ifo Institute – will meet online from August 18–20, 2021. The congress "Public Finance in the Era of the Covid-19 Crisis" is organized by the University of Iceland.

ifo and IIPF President Clemens Fuest is session chair for Jérôme Frans Adda's keynote lecture on "Preventing the Spread of Antibiotic Resistance" and chair of the mentoring session on "International Taxation“.
Clemens Fuest's term as President ends with this Annual Meeting after three years, in accordance with the statutes. He hands over the office to Wojciech Kopczuk, Professor at Columbia University New York, and becomes Honorary President of the IIPF. The IIPF is based in Munich and cooperates with the ifo Institute.
