During the several weeks of coronavirus-related school closures in early 2021, schoolchildren spent an average of 4.3 hours per day on school-related activities. That is according to a survey of more than 2,000 parents. While this is nearly three-quarters of an hour more than during the first school closures in spring 2020, it is still three hours less than on a typical school day before Covid-19.
