The Ludwig Erhard ifo Center for Social Market Economy and Institutional Economics is pleased to announce its first annual Conference on Institutional Economics, dealing with the topic of “Understanding Support for State Interventions in the Market”. The keynote lecture will be delivered by Alexander W. Cappelen (Norwegian School of Economics). In addition, Veronika Grimm (FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg) will give a dinner speech.
We warmly welcome submissions of empirical and theoretical papers in the areas of Institutional Economics, Public Economics, and Political Economy, in particular those taking a Behavioral Economics perspective. This year, a special focus is given to papers including laboratory or survey experiments exploring the determinants of (public) support and preferences for government market interventions.
We hope to be able to hold the conference as an on-site meeting in Fürth. However, we are constantly monitoring the situation with regard to Covid-19 and will keep all interested parties updated with ongoing developments.
